GLAZED PEAR CAKE 
1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus yellow cake mix
1 (16 oz.) can pear halves or slices
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sour cream
3 eggs
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

GLAZE:

2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. pear syrup
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/3 c. sifted powdered sugar

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 13"x9" pan. Drain pears, reserve syrup. Dice pears and set aside. In large bowl blend cake mix, 1/2 cup pear syrup, 1/3 cup butter, 1/2 cup sour cream, 3 eggs and 2 teaspoons cinnamon until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at high speed. Fold in pears and walnuts. Pour in pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

In small saucepan melt butter, stir in pear syrup and brown sugar. Bring just to a boil. Stir in powdered sugar and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and pour over cooled cake. Serves 8.
