LEMON BUTTER POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
4 eggs, separated
2 tsp. lemon flavoring

Cream butter and sugar. Beat egg yolks, add mixture beating well. Add flour, baking powder alternately with milk. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into mixture along with flavoring. Bake in tube pan 1 hour at 325 degrees.

Wow, is this cake good!!! Easy, moist, very yummy! I made one just to make sure it came out well...and then made another as a thank you and he and his family LOVED it! I baked the cake in a tube pan for a pretty shape and I think next time I may sprinkle some powdered sugar on the top for a pretty presentation! Wonderful!
