PARTY COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
1 c. light brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts
6 tbsp. butter, melted

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Sift together flour, baking powder and soda. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Spread half of batter in greased 10 inch tube pan. Add brown sugar to butter, cinnamon and nuts; mix well. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-nut mixture on batter in pan.

Cover with remaining batter. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon-nut mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool slightly in pan; turn out onto serving plate. Serve plain or with Butter Frosting.

BUTTER FROSTING:

1/4 c. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp. cream

Combine all ingredients and blend until creamy. Spoon over top of cooled cake.
