1 qt. vanilla ice cream
1 pt. strawberries, washed, stemmed and sweetened to taste
1 tbsp. Kirschwasser (cherry brandy)

Prepare strawberries, pour Kirschwasser over them and chill. When ready to serve, soften vanilla ice cream in lower part of refrigerator. Serve in crystal bowls or wide mouth coupe sherbets. Divide strawberries into 6 servings. Serve immediately and with crisp cookies. Serves 6.
