GLAZED CARROTS 
12 oz. fresh carrots, sliced or chunked
2 tbsp. water

GLAZE:

1 1/2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. chopped pecans, optional

Microwave carrots in 1 quart covered casserole with water for 6-8 minutes. Stir once and let stand covered for 3 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, microwave butter on High 30-45 seconds until melted. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Drain carrots. Pour glaze over and stir to coat. Microwave on High 20 seconds to melt brown sugar, if needed. Stir. Garnish with pecans, if desired. Serves 4.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
