DILL PICKLES 
About 10 lbs. cucumbers
Dried red pepper pods
Garlic
Dill
6 c. water
1 1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. salt

Wash cucumbers thoroughly and pack in jars after putting 1 dried red pepper pod, 1 button garlic and 2 heads dill in each jar.

Combine water, vinegar, and salt and bring to a boil. Pour over cucumbers in jars. Wipe edge of jar and quickly seal jars.

Place jars in oven that has been warmed and then turned off. You will be able to hear the jars seal themselves in just a few minutes. When oven has cooled and pickles are sealed, remove them from oven and cover batch with towel until jars are completely cool.
