MARINARA SAUCE 
3 lg. cans peeled tomatoes, crushed with juice or fresh tomatoes in season
2 tsp. sugar (if using fresh tomatoes, use 3 tsp. sugar)
1 tbsp. lemon juice
3 cubes beef bouillon
3 cubes chicken bouillon
1-2 tbsp. crushed garlic
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 1/2 tsp. crushed dried oregano (1-2 tbsp., if you use fresh)
1 1/2 tsp. crushed dried thyme (1-2 tbsp., if you use fresh)
1 tsp. crushed dried basil (1 tbsp., if you use fresh)
1/2 c. Parmesan, grated

Add all ingredients except garlic and Parmesan and cook over medium heat for about 1 hour. Add garlic and cook about 5 minutes. Add Parmesan and refrigerate or can. Makes about 3 quarts.
