DEEP DISH APPLE CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 to 2 sticks butter (one seems rich enough)

Mix above like pie crust. Add 2 beaten eggs. Stir with fork until most of crumbs are moistened. Put 5 cups sliced apples (or choice of fresh fruit) in bottom of large casserole dish. Add sugar, cinnamon, etc. to taste. Crumble dough over top of fruit. Bake at 425 degrees about 30 minutes. Spoon into dessert bowls and serve warm or cold with Cool Whip.
