PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 lg. container Cool Whip
1 lg. pkg. instant vanilla pudding
2 lg. cans crushed pineapple
2 cans cherry or strawberry pie filling
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 box yellow cake mix

Cook cake by recipe on box in an oblong pan. Cut in half. Crumble 1/2 cake in bottom of punch bowl. Mix vanilla pudding by recipe. Pour 1/2 over cake. Then pour 1 can of filling, 1 can pineapple, 1/2 Cool Whip, and 1/2 of pecans. Repeat this twice. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Yield: 1 large punch bowl full. This recipe is great for large gatherings plus it is an unusual and pretty dish.
