FROSTED SALAD 
2 (3 oz. each) pkgs. lemon Jello
2 c. Ginger Ale or 7-Up
2 lg. bananas, sliced
1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 c. boiling water
1 can crushed pineapple (sm.), drained

Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Stir in Ginger Ale. Chill until Jello starts to jell, then fold in drained pineapple, bananas, and marshmallows. Chill until firm.

TOPPING:

2 tbsp. flour
1 c. pineapple juice
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. American cheese, shredded
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. whipping cream

Combine sugar and flour in pan. Stir in juice and egg. Cook over low heat until thick, then add butter. Cool. Whip cream and fold into cooled mixture. Pour over Jello and sprinkle with cheese.
