RICE PUDDING 
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. rice (long grain carolina soaked in water 1/2 hour)
1/2 c. sugar
4 c. milk
1/4 lb. sweet butter
1/2 c. raisins (optional)

Beat egg mixture with fork. Set aside. Combine all ingredients (except raisins). Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer for about 50 minutes for a very slow boil, stir occasionally. Add raisins after 30 minutes. After you take it off flame, mix in egg mixture slowly. Garnish with cinnamon. Cool. Refrigerate.
