FRENCH PEANUT BUTTER PIE 
1 (9") baked pie shell
1 c. butter, soft
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Cream butter and sugar. Beat while adding peanut butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating at least 5 minutes after each egg. Add vanilla. Pour into baked shell and chill. You can substitute 1/2 cup cocoa for peanut butter and make a rich chocolate pie.
