CANDIED PECANS | |
1 lb. pecans 1 stick butter (butter) 2 egg whites 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sugar Place butter in pan 13 x 11 inches; let melt. Put in cold pecans. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar and vanilla. Pour in pan of pecans. Place in a 200 degree oven, stir every 15-20 minutes and when the pecans are dry and light brown, remove from oven. |
