NUT MACAROONS 
1 1/3 c. (3 1/2 oz.) coconut
3 tbsp. flour
2 egg whites
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/3 c. chopped pecans or almonds

Mix coconut, sugar, flour and salt. Stir in egg whites, almond extract and nuts; mix well. Drop from a teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until edges of cookies are golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.

Makes about 18 cookies.

NOTE: Recipe can be doubled.
