PEPPER POPPERS 
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 lb. Fresh jalepeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs

Combine cheeses, bacon, and seasonings; mix well. Spoon about 2 tbsp. into each pepper half. Roll in breadcrumbs. Place on greased baking pan.

Bake, uncovered, at 300°F for 20 minutes. May be served with sour cream, Ranch dressing, or onion dip.

Yields about 2 dozen.
