NICK'S PESTO FOR PASTA 
2 c. tightly pressed fresh basil leaves (about 2 to 3 bunches)
2 lg. garlic cloves
1/2 c. pine nuts (2 bottles)
3/4 c. Romano or Parmigiano cheese
1/2 to 2/3 c. virgin olive oil

Place basil and garlic in food processor or blender; blend into fine paste. Add nuts and cheese and blend all together to smooth texture. Slowly pour olive oil a little at a time. Scrape sides of processor or blender, blending mixture to a fine paste. Blend until smooth and creamy. Heat in microwave. Serves 4.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
