BARBECUED ROUND STEAK | |
1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1 1/2 inch thick 2 tbsp. oil or shortening 1 clove garlic, minced 3/4 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. paprika 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 c. catsup 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. powdered mustard 1/2 tsp. pepper Cut steaks into crosswise slices 1 inch wide. Heat oil, brown steak on all sides. Remove meat to casserole. Pour off fat then place all remaining ingredients in skillet and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake for 30 minutes. NOTE: Watch steak very carefully during the last 30 minutes so BBQ sauce doesn't burn. |
