DALE'S FAVORITE APPLE PIE 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
5 tbsp. cold water

Prepare crust by combining salt and flour, cutting in shortening and add water a sprinkle at a time to form ball of dough. Divide into 2 parts. Roll and place in pan.

FILLING:

5 lbs. tart apples
4 tsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Combine all filling ingredients and pour into shell. Place crust on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 minutes.
