3 1/2 c. sugar 4 1/2 c. water 2 oz. jar Yuban coffee (instant) 1 qt. vodka, 100 proof 1 vanilla bean Mix sugar and water together and boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the coffee, a little at a time until completely dissolved. Return to heat and bring just to a boil. Remove and let cool. Then add 1 quart vodka. Pour mixture into a gallon glass jug over 1 vanilla bean cut lengthwise. Put cap on jug and let "sit" 10- days. Pour into smaller bottles, keeping one in refrigerator for use as it tastes bests chilled. (To serve a black Russian - 1/2 Kahlua and 1/2 vodka.) |
