GRANDMA'S STRUDEL 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
4 tbsp. oil
2/3 c. ice water

FILLING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. apples, cubed and thinly sliced

For the dough, sift the dry ingredients. Add egg, oil, and water. Mix into a dough and knead. Cover for 30 minutes on kneading board, or table. Roll out, on a floured surface, very thinly. Brush dough with oil. Place filling in lower half of dough and roll. Brush top with oil or butter. To make the filling, mix the cinnamon with sugar. mix the lemon juice with the apples. Sprinkle crumbs over lower half of oiled dough. Place nuts over crumbs. Spread raisins, apples, and sugar next. Roll and bake at 325 degrees until dough is golden brown, approximately 30 minutes.
