OATMEAL MACAROONS 
1 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
4 tbsp. cream
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. dry oatmeal

Mix butter and sugar until fluffy. Add beaten egg, then the cream and almond extract; beat well. Sift flour and baking powder and add to above, beat again. Stir in oatmeal and mix well. Put teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet. Bake at 250 degrees for 20 minutes until dry and crisp. Makes about 75 cookies.
