12 Golden Delicious apples
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. granulated sugar
3 c. water
1 tsp. salt

Bring water to a boil. Slice and core apples; drop into boiling water. Cook over medium heat until apples cook away from the skin, adding water if needed.

Add sugar, stir; add salt and cinnamon.
