LEMON CAKE BARS 
1 pkg. lemon cake mix
6 tbsp. butter (3/4 stick), softened
4 eggs
1 1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) bag of walnuts, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Reserve 3/4 cup cake mix. In large bowl, with hands, mix butter, 1 egg, and remaining cake mix. Pat dough on bottom of baking dish. Bake 15-20 minutes. Mix in large mixer bowl, at low speed, the corn syrup, brown sugar, 3 eggs, vanilla, and reserved cake mix. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour mixture over baked layer; sprinkle with nuts. Bake 25-30 minutes until toothpick comes clean. Cool in dish; cut as desired. Store in tightly covered container.
