MARINATED MUSHROOMS 
1 lb. fresh mushrooms (uniform in size)
1 pt. water
1 tbsp. salt
Juice of 1 lemon

Wash mushrooms, boil for 3 minutes in water, lemon juice and 1 tablespoon salt. Drain and place in bowl, then while still warm toss with the following dressing:

1/2 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. oregano, crushed
1/2 tsp. seasoned pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Pinch of tarragon, thyme & few dashes Tabasco sauce

When cool, place in covered quart jar in refrigerator. Will keep 2 to 3 weeks.
