NOODLES WITH KRAUT-HOT DOG SAUCE | |
8 oz. noodles 1 lb. wieners, quartered 2 tbsp. butter 1 sm. onion, chopped 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes 2 to 4 tbsp. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. drained sauerkraut In saucepan, saute wieners in butter; remove with slotted spoon, then saute onion until crisp-tender. Drain off fat. Add tomatoes, brown sugar, salt, and sauerkraut. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally; add wieners. Cook over low heat 15 minutes. Cook noodles as directed on package. Drain. Combine with wieners and sauce. Makes 4 to 6 servings. |
