NANAIMO BARS 
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. fine coconut
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. butter
2 c. icing sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla custard powder
3 tbsp. milk
4 squares semi-sweet chocolate
1 tbsp. butter

Combine over low heat the egg, vanilla, 1/2 cup butter and cocoa. Stir until butter is melted. Remove from heat and add the crumbs, coconut and walnuts. Press into a 9x9 inch pan.

Combine 1/4 cup butter, icing sugar, custard powder mixed with the 3 tablespoons milk. Spread over crumb layer. Chill. Melt chocolate and 1 tablespoon butter and spread over top. Chill.
