NANAIMO BARS (No Bake) 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. cocoa

Mix together and put over boiling water. Stir until slightly thickened.

Add to the above: 1 c. coconut 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Put in a 9 inch greased pan and press down. Let stand for 15 minutes.

LAYER TWO:

1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. milk
2 c. icing sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla custard powder

Mix together and spread over layer one. Refrigerate 15 minutes.

LAYER THREE:

4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1 tbsp. butter

Melt chocolate over hot water. Do not allow water to boil. Very slowly and gently stir in butter until it is just blended. Spread over layer two. Refrigerate and cut into squares.
