NIAGARA FALLS NO BAKE PEANUT
BARS
 
1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup or honey
1/2 c. peanut butter
6 Nabisco shredded wheat biscuits
3/4 c. seedless raisins
1/2 c. chopped dry roasted unsalted peanuts

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:

In a 2-quart microwave bowl, blend brown sugar, corn syrup or honey and peanut butter. Microwave at high of 1 to 1 1/2 minutes until bubbly, stir until smooth. Quickly stir in cereal, raisins, and peanuts; press evenly into greased 8 or 9 inch square baking pan. Cool. Cut into bars store in airtight container.

CONVENTIONAL DIRECTIONS:

In large saucepan, over medium heat, heat brown sugar, corn syrup or honey and peanut butter until smooth and bubbly, stirring occasionally. Proceed as above.

Makes 2 dozen.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
