NASHVILLE HOUSE FRIED BISCUITS 
1/2 c. shortening
1 qt. milk
1/2 c. sugar
3 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
6 tsp. salt
7-9 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add other ingredients. Let rise covered, until about double, in a warm place. Work into biscuits and drop into hot grease at 375 degrees. Makes about 7 dozen.
