BEEF AND BARLEY MULLIGAN 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove
1 can tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
2 c. water
1 beef bouillon cube
1 tsp. salt and pepper
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
3/4 c. barley

Brown beef, drain fat. Add green pepper, onion and garlic, saute. Mix in remaining ingredients and heat to boiling, then reduce heat, cover and simmer until barley is tender.

COUNTRY COLESLAW
1 lb. kidney beans
1 tbsp. catsup
2 tbsp. pickle relish
4 c. cabbage
2 tbsp. french dressing
1 tbsp. mayonnaise
3/4 tsp. salt
2 hard boiled eggs, quartered

Combine beans, catsup and relish set aside Toss cabbage with dressing in a large bowl. Add beans, mayonnaise and salt. Mix and chill. Garnish with eggs.
