INDIANA CHOWDER | |
2 lbs. hamburger 2 or 3 onions, diced 2 or 3 stalks celery 2 c. peas 2 c. carrots, diced & cooked 1 lb. noodles 1 qt. tomato juice Fry hamburger, then add onion and celery. Layer peas, carrots and noodles last. Pour tomato juice over the top. Let cook until noodles are done, at least 1 hour on low. It is a good idea to cook noodles some before adding to mixture as they do not get done before liquid has cooked away. |
