CHICKEN POT PIES 
4 ready made pie shells (or your own)
1 (32 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
2-3 c. cooked, boned chicken
1 c. onions, coarsely chopped
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sage
1/4 tsp. pepper

Carrots, peas, potatoes, green beans.

Cook mixed vegetables as per directions on package. Add onions, chicken and salt, pepper and sage. In a small saucepan melt butter. Add flour slowly until it becomes thick. Add to vegetables and chicken. Stir on low heat until it gets thick. Divide the mixture into two of the pie shells. Slit the other two shells and cover the filled pies. Crimp edges and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Makes 2 pies. Serves 6 to 8.
