FRENCH BEANS 
1 lb. fresh string beans, French cut (or 2 bags, frozen)
1 head Iceberg lettuce
1/2 c. beef broth
Salt and pepper
Dill and thyme to taste (try 1/4 tsp.)

In good sized pot, cook beans until crisp-tender. Core and chop lettuce coarsely and add to pot with other ingredients. Cover and cook down until tender. Over cooking makes mush!
