STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD | |
2 c. crushed pretzels 3/4 c. melted butter 4 tbsp. sugar 2 c. boiling water 2 (10 oz.) frozen strawberries (or home frozen ones) 8 oz. cream cheese 3/4 c. sugar 1 lg. Cool Whip (9-12 oz.) 1 (6 oz.) box strawberry Jello Mix crushed pretzels, butter and 4 tablespoons sugar and put in 9 x 12 inch baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 5-6 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Cream cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar. Fold in Cool Whip and spread on baked pretzels. Dissolve Jello in boiling water and stir in frozen strawberries. When this thickens pour over cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate. The strawberries, if using home frozen ones can be whole or cut and unsugared. |
