MEXICAN PIZZA | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 c. bran 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans 1/2 (16 oz.) bottle taco sauce, optional 1 (4 oz.) can chopped chilies, drained (optional) 4 oz. each shredded Monterey Jack & Cheddar cheese 1 pt. sour cream 1-2 ripe tomatoes, chopped 1 c. chopped ripe olives 1 c. guacamole dip 1-2 lg. (16 oz.) bags tortilla chips Brown ground meat and bran together in a skillet over medium heat. Spread refried beans on a 12-14 inch ovenproof plate. Sprinkle meat mixture over beans and add taco sauce and chilies. Microwave for 5-7 minutes or bake 15-20 minutes in the oven at 350 degrees. To serve: Sprinkle cheeses on warmed meat mixture. Pour sour cream in the middle. Make a circle of chopped tomatoes and a second circle of chopped ripe olives around sour cream. Pour guacamole on top of sour cream. Serve with plenty of chips. |
