WALNUT PIE 
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/4 c. light corn syrup
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 unbaked pie shell
3/4 c. black walnuts, chopped

Mix brown sugar and flour in saucepan. Add corn syrup, butter, and salt. Warm over low heat just until batter is melted. Beat egg with vanilla. Stir in sugar mixture. Turn into pie shell, sprinkle with walnuts. Bake on lower rack of oven at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes until filing is set in center. Cool before cutting. Makes 1 9-inch pie.
