TOMATO - VEGETABLE SAUCE FOR
PASTA
 
2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes, undrained & cut into pieces
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped carrots
1/2 c. snipped parsley
1 bay leaf
2 tsp. dried marjoram
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
1 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. pepper

Mix all ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring often. Uncover and simmer until thickened. Serve over hot pasta; add Parmesan cheese.
