BREAKFAST CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. pork sausage 4 to 5 pieces cubed leftover bread 1 onion, sautéed 1 bag shredded Cheddar cheese 6 to 8 eggs, whipped 1 can evaporated milk seasonings as you like You will need a 9 x 13-inch pan sprayed with Pam. This recipe can be modified to the taste or availability of ingredients of the chef. It can also be made large (lasagna pan large) by doubling or tripling the recipe. Brown pork sausage. Drain on paper towels. In a 9 x 13-inch pan sprayed with Pam, add cubed bread, sautéd onion, and bag of Cheddar cheese. At this point, it can be frozen or refrigerated until ready to make. Add eggs, whipped, evaporated milk and any seasonings you like. Bake at 350°F for approximately 45 minutes. The "sauce" that is served on top is a can of cream of chicken soup (try it, you'll like it!) or salsa works nicely, too! Remember, you can use cubed ham, bacon or leave out the meat and make it all vegetables. You're the cook! |
