CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE | |
1 stick butter 1/2 c. oil 4 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. water 2 c. flour 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. buttermilk 2 eggs 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla In saucepan bring to a boil butter, oil, cocoa, and water. Sift together flour and sugar. Pour chocolate sauce over dry ingredients and mix well. Add buttermilk, eggs, baking soda, and vanilla. Pour into a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE FROSTING: 1 stick butter 4 tbsp. cocoa 1/3 c. buttermilk 1 lb. confectioners sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts Bring to a boil butter and cocoa. Remove from heat; add remaining ingredients adding nuts last. Spread immediately while still hot. |
