CHEESY SCALLOPED POTATOES | |
2 lbs. potatoes 12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled 1/4 c. sliced green onions 3 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 1 1/2 c. milk 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. celery seeds 1 c. or more shredded cheese Peel potatoes and cut up into slices. Boil 5 minutes. Drain and place in lightly greased 6x10x2 inch pan. Sprinkle with onions and bacon. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Add flour. Stir until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until bubbly and thick. Stir in seasons. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese until it melts. Pour over potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
