HIP PADDERS 
FILLING:

1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 tbsp. butter
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla

DOUGH:

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. nuts for top

Mix together chocolate chips, butter, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Melt over low heat and set aside.

Mix all of the dough ingredients together except the nuts (the sugar and butter could be creamed, then add egg and vanilla, flour, soda and salt sifted together, and then stir in the oatmeal).

Press 2/3 of the mixture into a 9x13 inch pan. Pour filling over dough. Put rest of dough mixture over filling. (Break dough mixture into small clumps with fingers and arrange on top.) Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
