GREEN BEANS ITALIANO | |
1 lb. fresh green beans, washed and trimmed 1 1/2 tbsp. butter 1 clove garlic, finely chopped 1/2 tsp. oregano 2 tbsp. water Pepper to taste 4 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese 1 lemon, cut in wedges 1. Over high heat, bring large pot of lightly salted water to boiling. 2. Add beans, cook about 5 minutes until tender. 3. Drain beans in colander and set aside. 4. Melt butter in pot. 5. Add garlic and cook 1 minute. 6. Add oregano, water, pepper, and beans. 7. Cook just until heated though, tossing to coat. 8. Remove to serving plate, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with lemon wedges. Serves 4. 84 calories per serving. |
