DEVON'S FAVORITE POT ROAST 
1 chuck roast or pot roast (1/2 lb. per person)
2 c. water (approximately)
Basil
Salt & pepper
Worcestershire sauce
Carrots, onions, potatoes, peeled & diced

In a large baking pan with lid (I use a corning ware 4 quart), place vegetables in bottom around meat. Pour in water. Sprinkle with dried basil (about a tablespoon) and salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce to taste. (Don't be afraid to be generous!)

Oven at 350 degrees. Cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Check at 2 hours for water. Don't let cook dry. (This is a great recipe to put in the oven before going to work if you have a timer on your oven.)
