“CHOCOLATE MAYONNAISE CAKE” IS IN:

CHOCOLATE MAYONNAISE CAKE 
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup real mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup cold water

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add vanilla, mayonnaise and water. Beat until smooth.

Pour batter into a greased and floured 13x9-inch pan.

Bake until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean (about 30-35 minutes).

I was hankering for this and couldn't find my recipe (from the 1950's). It's in the oven now. Does anyone have the recipe I used on it? It was called "Never Hardens Chocolate Frosting". I'll use the peanut butter one as someone suggested but I'll keep looking back to see if anyone has the one I used to have.
