VANILLA BUTTER NUT POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco (white)
2 sticks butter
3 c. flour
1 sm. can evaporated milk, add water to make 1 c.
5 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vanilla butter and nut flavor
1 c. nuts

Start in cold oven. Cream butter, Crisco, sugar, and salt. Add eggs, one at a time; beat. Add flour and milk (alternating), ending with flour. Add flavoring 3 to 4 minutes. Add 1 cup nuts. Bake in greased tube pan 1 hour and 45 minutes at 325 degrees.
