GRANDMA BONER'S TRIPLE LAYER DELIGHTS | |
1/2 c. butter 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. cocoa 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg, slightly beaten 2 c. graham cracker crumbs #2: 1/2 c. butter 3 tbsp. milk 1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding (3 3/4 oz.) 2 c. powdered sugar #3: 1 pkg. chocolate chips (6 oz.) 2 tbsp. butter #1: For first layer, combine butter, sugar, cocoa and vanilla in the top of a double boiler. Cook over simmering water, stirring occasionally until butter is melted. Stir in egg. Continue cooking until mixture is thick, about 3 minutes. Stir in crumbs and coconut. Press into buttered 9 inch square pan. #2: For second layer, beat butter thoroughly. Blend in milk, pudding mix and powdered sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Spread evenly over first layer. Chill until firm. #3: For third layer, melt chocolate and butter together over simmering water. Cool. Spread over chilled second layer. Cut into bars, about 2 x 3/4 inch. About 4 dozen bars. |
