MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. white corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 or 4 qt. popped corn
Peanuts or nuts, optional

Mix first 4 ingredients in 2 quart dish. Bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes on high. Add soda and stir. Put popped corn in a brown paper bag. Pour syrup over the corn. Shake bag and microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake bag again and microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Spread out on a flat surface to cool.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
