PASTY "PIE" 
For double crust, may use ready made 9 or 10 inch pie pan.

FILLING:

1 1/2 lbs. ground chicken or turkey or 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
5 potatoes, cubed
4 carrots, cubed
2 onions, finely cut
1/4 c. rutabaga, cubed
1/4 c. finely chopped cabbage
Salt, pepper, butter

Not cooked.

Roll out crust. Line 9 or 10 inch pan. Mix filling and put in the pastry lined pan. Add salt and pepper and dots of butter. Cover with top crust - seal - slit. Bake 400 degrees, 15 minutes; 350 degrees, 45-60 minutes until fork tender.
