BEEF STROGANOFF 
1 1/2 lb. sirloin, cut thin
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1 tbsp. flour
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1/3 c. Sauterne (optional)

Cut beef into thin slices. Season with salt and pepper. Melt butter in large skillet. Brown meat, mushrooms and onions. Mix flour and evaporated milk. Add to meat. Cook and stir until thickened. Add Sauterne. Serve over buttered noodles.

Serves 4 to 6.
