BEEF STROGANOFF 
2 tbsp. butter
2 lbs. boneless round steak, cut into strips
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced or sm. can of sliced
1 env. onion soup mix (I use Lipton)
2 1/4 c. water
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. sour cream

(I beat my steak to make tender.) In skillet, melt butter and brown beef with mushrooms. Add soup mix blended with 1 3/4 cups water. simmer covered, stirring occasionally. Cook 40 minutes or until tender. Stir in flour blended with sour cream and remaining water (1/2 cup). Bring to boiling point. Simmer, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened. Serve over hot noodles. Makes about 8 servings. Can be doubled.
